Privacy Policy

Effective July 12, 2026

The short version

Kept collects no data. Not "minimal data," not "anonymized data" — none. Everything you put into Kept stays on your iPhone. We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no way to see anything you do.

What we collect

Nothing. Kept's App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected. The app contains no third-party SDKs, no analytics frameworks, and no tracking of any kind.

Where your information lives

Your purchases, receipt photos, serial numbers, and notes are stored in a local database on your device. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it. You can export your records at any time from Settings — the export file is created on your device and shared only where you send it.

Camera and photos

Kept asks for camera access only when you photograph a receipt, and uses Apple's photo picker (which never grants Kept access to your photo library) when you attach an existing photo. Receipt text recognition for serial numbers happens entirely on your device using Apple's built-in frameworks.

Notifications

Warranty reminders are local notifications, scheduled and delivered by iOS on your device. No notification data leaves your phone.

Tips

The optional tip jar uses Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment; Kept never sees your payment information. Tips unlock nothing — every feature is free.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Since Kept collects nothing, don't expect much news.
